ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ

Η μελέτη που ακολουθεί παρουσιάζει περίπτωση μαθήτριας που φοιτά σε δημόσιο Ειδικό Νηπιαγωγείο τη σχολική χρονιά 2012-13 και πάσχει από σύνδρομο Shprintzen-Goldberg. Αρχικά γίνεται μια γενική περιγραφή του συνδρόμου και ακολούθως παρουσιάζεται η συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση της μαθήτριας καθώς και τρόποι παρέμβασης εντός της σχολικής τάξης από τις Νηπιαγωγούς.

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΣΥΝΔΡΟΜΟΥ

Το σύνδρομο Shprintzen-Goldberg (SGS) προκαλείται από γενετική μετάλλαξη που επηρεάζει τη δομή και τη λειτουργία του γονιδίου που συμβάλλει στο σχηματισμό του συνδετικού ιστού (Vance, 2002).

Πρόκειται για διαταραχή που περιλαμβάνει κρανιοσυνοστεώσεις, σκελετικές, νευρολογικές, καρδιαγγειακές ανωμαλίες και του συνδετικού ιστού, υποτονία, αναπτυξιακή καθυστέρηση και βουβωνική ή ομφαλοκήλη (Robinson et al, 2005). Υπάρχει σημαντική φαινοτυπική επικάλυψη με τα σύνδρομα Marfan (ΟΜΙΜ 154700) και Loeys-Dietz (LDS) (ΟΜΙΜ 609192) περιλαμβάνοντας το σύνολο σχεδόν των κρανιοπροσωπικών, σκελετικών, δερματικών, και καρδιαγγειακών εκδηλώσεων, μαζί με τα πρόσθετα ευρήματα της νοητικής καθυστέρησης και την υποτονία των σκελετικών μυών (Doyle et al., 2012).

Ο πρώτος ασθενής (ένα 17χρονο αγόρι) με χαρακτηριστικά του συνδρόμου (πλαγιοκεφαλία, σοβαρές κρανιοπροσωπικές και σκελετικές ανωμαλίες και ανωμαλίες των άκρων, βουβωνική κήλη, υποτονία, και νοητική υστέρηση) αναφέρθηκε το 1981 από τους Sugarman & Vogel. Την επόμενη χρονιά (1982) οι Shprintzen & Goldberg ανέφεραν δύο περιστατικά σε δύο μη συγγενείς άρρενες (Greally et al., 1998). Περιέγραψαν ένα «νέο» σύνδρομο Κρανιοσυνοστεώσεως που σχετίζεται με σοβαρό εξόφθαλμο, υποπλασία άνω και κάτω γνάθου, μαλακό ιστό, υπερτροφία της υπερώας, χαμηλά αυτιά με μαλακούς και εύκαμπτους κόλπους, κήλες και αραχνοδακτυλία. Στις λειτουργικές διαταραχές ανέφεραν βρεφική υποτονία, αναπτυξιακή καθυστέρηση, νοητική υστέρηση, και αποφρακτική άπνοια. Οι Ades et al. (1995) οριοθέτησαν τις ξεχωριστές σκελετικές ανωμαλίες του συνδρόμου Shprintzen-Goldberg (SGS) με τη μελέτη τεσσάρων νέων περιπτώσεων και κατέληξαν στο συμπέρασμα ότι είναι πιθανών μια γενικευμένη δυσπλασία του συνδετικού ιστού. Οι Saal et al. (1995) ανέφεραν μια άλλη ασθενή με φαινότυπο κρανιοσυνοστέωσης και Marfan. Οι Hassed et al. (1997) περιέγραψαν ασθενή με το παραπάνω σύνδρομο που εκτός από τις συνήθεις δυσπλασίες είχε επίσης κρανιακή ασυμμετρία, υποτονία, οστεοπενία, και υδροκεφαλία. Οι Greally et al. (1998) παρουσίασαν τέσσερεις νέους ασθενείς με σύνδρομο SGS και αξιολόγησαν έναν από αυτούς με την αρχική έκθεση των Shprintzen και Goldberg (1982). Κατέληξαν στο συμπέρασμα ότι οι ακτινολογικές διερευνήσεις είναι ιδιαίτερα χρήσιμες για τη διαφοροποίηση του συνδρόμου. Ο Stoll (2002) παρακολούθησε την εξέλιξη ασθενούς με SGS για εικοσιτέσσερα χρόνια. Τα αποτελέσματα ήταν δυσμορφία κατά τη βρεφική ηλικία η οποία έγινε πιο έντονη με την πάροδο του.  Οι Robinson et al. (2005)  σύγκριναν τα κλινικά τους ευρήματα με εκείνα από τα 23 άτομα που έχουν αναφερθεί στο παρελθόν. Υποστήριξαν ότι υπάρχει μια χαρακτηριστική εμφάνιση του προσώπου, σε περισσότερα από τα δύο τρίτα όλων των ατόμων που έχουν υπερτελορισμό, μικρογναθία, τοξωτό ουρανίσκο, κλίση μεσοβλεφάριας σχισμής κ.ά. Οι διαταραχές SGS, LDS, Marfan και κρανιοσυνοστέωσης είναι σχετικές και επικαλύπτονται έτσι οι Megarbane και Hokayem (1998) πρότειναν το διαχωρισμό των κρανιοσυνοστεώσεων από το σύνδρομο Marfan σε δύο τύπους: τύπου-1 με νοητική υστέρηση (SGS) και τύπου-2 με φυσιολογική νοημοσύνη και ανωμαλίες της αορτικής ρίζας (Furlong σύνδρομο- LDS) (O'Neill, 2012a-OMIM 182212).

Στην Ελλάδα έχουν αναφερθεί ελάχιστα τέτοια περιστατικά και η βιβλιογραφία είναι περιορισμένη. Οι Τοπουζέλης κ.ά. το 2003 μελέτησαν περίπτωση SGS Τύπου-2 στη Θεσσαλονίκη (Topouzelis, 2003). Το 2010 παρουσιάστηκε περιστατικό στο ΙΚΑ Σερρών (Kόλλια-Τσαρούχα, 2010). Σήμερα ίσως να μελετάμε την τρίτη περίπτωση σε όλη την Ελλάδα (η οποία παρουσιάστηκε στην πόλη της Χαλκίδας).  Ο Διεθνής Κατάλογος Σπανίων Νοσημάτων (Orphanet Index) αναφέρει ότι το σύνδρομο SGS είναι μια εξαιρετικά σπάνια διαταραχή, για την οποία έχουν αναφερθεί έως το 2006 λιγότερες από 50 περιπτώσεις σε όλον τον κόσμο (ORPHA2462, 2006).

Κλινικά χαρακτηριστικά

Κρανιοσυνοστέωση ή Κρανιοσυνόστωση: κλείσιμο των ραφών της κεφαλής του βρέφους. Χαρακτηριστικό των συνδρόμων που οφείλονται σε κρανιοσυνόστωση είναι το γεγονός ότι εκτός από τις ραφές του κρανιακού θόλου προσβάλλονται και οι ραφές των οστών του προσώπου, με αποτέλεσμα την εμφάνιση προβλημάτων που αφορούν στο πρόσωπο (Οδηγός διαταραχών, c2012).

Κρανιοπροσωπικά: δυσμορφία προσώπου, μικροκεφαλία, σκαφοκεφαλία, μικρογναθία, υψηλά εξέχον πρόσωπο, πρόπτωση των οφθαλμών, εξόφθαλμο, ανώμαλη σύγκλειση δοντιών.

Σκελετικά: παραμόρφωση άκρων, προεξοχή στέρνου, βυθισμένο στέρνο, αραχνοδακτυλία (μακριά και λεπτά δάχτυλα), σκολίωση, τετραγωνισμένο σχήμα σπονδύλων, σπονδυλική ανωμαλία (C1-C2).

Καρδιαγγειακά: πρόπτωση της μιτροειδούς βαλβίδας, ανεπάρκεια της αορτικής βαλβίδας.

Άλλα χαρακτηριστικά: δυσπλασία εγκεφάλου, υδροκεφαλία, κοιλιακές κήλες, μυωπία, στραβισμός, διαταραχές στα αυτιά, οστεοπενία (Greally et al., 1998; 2010), κλίση μεσοβλεφάριας σχισμής, ομφαλοκήλη, βουβωνοκήλη, λεπτό διαφανές και υπερ-ελαστικό δέρμα, ελάχιστο υποδόριο λίπος, υποτονία, αναπτυξιακή καθυστέρηση, νοητική υστέρηση, υπερκινητικότητα, υπερτελορισμός, απώλεια του υποδόριου ιστού, αποφρακτική άπνοια, κ.ά. (Carmignac, et al., 2012)

Σπάνια: στρεβλότητα αρτηρίας και καρωτίδας, διαστολή της πνευμονικής αρτηρίας, γαστροοισοφαγική παλινδρόμηση, 13 ζεύγη πλευρών, βλαισό γόνατο, κρυψορχία (O'Neill, 2012b-OMIM 182212).

Μοριακή γενετική και διάγνωση

Τα στοιχεία των ερευνών αποδεικνύουν ότι το σύνδρομο Shprintzen-Goldberg κρανιοσυνοστεώσης (SGS) μπορεί να προκληθεί από ετερόζυγη μετάλλαξη στο γονίδιο SKI (ΟΜΙΜ 164780).  Η γενετική διαταραχή συνδέεται με τη διαγραφή μικρού κομματιού του χρωμοσώματος 22 (Fokstuen, 2001).

Το σύνδρομο περιλαμβάνεται σε μια ευρύτερη κατηγορία που ονομάζεται Υπερώιο-Κάρδιο-Προσωπικό (Φρυσίρα, c2008) ή μικροελλείμματος 22q11 (Velo - Cardio - Facial Syndrome - VCFS) και η διάγνωσή του είναι δυνατή μόνο μέσω του DNA με τη μικροέλλειψη του χρωμοσώματος (Shprintzen, 2008). 

Προσβάλλει πρόσωπο, υπερώα, καρδιά με συχνότητα 1 στις 2.000-4.000 και με χαρακτηριστική ανωμαλία μετανάστευσης κυττάρων νευρικής ακρολοφίας (Φρυσίρα, c2008).

Σήμερα είναι δυνατή η Μοριακή Διάγνωση του συνδρόμου σε Ιατρικά Κέντρα του Εξωτερικού (ORPHA63882, c2013). 

Θεραπεία  – Αντιμετώπιση

Μια πιθανή οδός για τη θεραπεία τέτοιων διαταραχών μπορεί να είναι η μείωση ή η εξάλειψη του μεταλλαγμένου γονιδίου fibrillin-1 (FBN1) (Hayward, 1997; Topouzelis, 2003).

Οι περισσότερες περιπτώσεις χρήζουν χειρουργικής αντιμετώπισης καρδιαγγειακών, αγγειακών και ωτορινοφαρυγγικών ανωμαλιών, ένρινης ομιλίας, αδενοειδεκτομή, σίτισης, αποκατάσταση κηλών, μεταταρσίου κ.ά. (Greally, et al., 1998). Φυσιοθεραπεία για αύξηση της κινητικότητας. Παρακολούθηση ειδικού προγράμματος εκπαίδευσης (Σ.Μ.Ε.Α.Ε. ή Τ.Ε. γενικού σχολείου).

Η ΠΕΡΙΠΤΩΣΗ ΤΗΣ Ι.

Εισαγωγή

Η Ι. Μ. γεννήθηκε το 2007 και έκανε εγγραφή στο Νηπιαγωγείο μας κατά την έναρξη της φετινής σχολικής χρονιάς (2012-13) κατόπιν παραπομπής από το τοπικό ΚΕΔΔΥ.  Είναι η πρώτη φορά που φοιτά σε οργανωμένο σχολικό πλαίσιο. Στην οικογένεια υπάρχουν άλλα δύο αδέλφια μικρότερης ηλικίας (αγόρι τριών ετών και κορίτσι ενάμισι έτους). Οι πρώτες πληροφορίες για τη μαθήτρια συγκεντρώθηκαν από μελέτη του προσωπικού της φακέλου, συζήτηση με τη μητέρα και παρατήρηση της ίδιας. Κατά την πρώτη ενημερωτική συνάντηση μητέρας – εκπαιδευτικών, οι εκπαιδευτικοί ενημερώθηκαν για τη 10ωρη χειρουργική επέμβαση-διόρθωση κρανιοσυνόστωσης-σκαφοκεφαλής στην οποία υπεβλήθη η Ι. σε ηλικία 1,5 έτους. Κατά τη διάρκεια λήψης του κοινωνικού ιστορικού και σε αίτημα των εκπαιδευτικών για περιγραφή του χαρακτήρα της μαθήτριας από τη μητέρα, η απάντηση που ελήφθη ήταν: «Η Ι. είναι αρκετά συνεργάσιμη και ήσυχη. Ζωηρεύει πολύ όταν βγαίνει εκτός σπιτιού. Είναι υπερβολική στη συμπεριφορά της με τα άλλα παιδιά (αγκαλιές, φιλιά). Είναι ευαίσθητη και καλόκαρδη. Πολύ χαρούμενο παιδί, αλλά όταν θέλει κάτι προτιμά να κλάψει παρά να μιλήσει και να το ζητήσει».

Αξιολόγηση από το ΚΕΔΔΥ

Ο προσδιορισμός των Ειδικών Εκπαιδευτικών Αναγκών της μαθήτριας, σύμφωνα με τη γνωμάτευση του ΚΕΔΔΥ, είναι «Ψυχοκινητική καθυστέρηση (πιθανόν Σύνδρομο Crouzon ή Noonan)». Τα αποτελέσματα της γενετικής εξέτασης στην οποία υπεβλήθη η Ι. αποδεικνύουν ότι τελικά πάσχει από σύνδρομο Shprintzen-Goldberg.

Ειδικότερα, «η Ι. έχει ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά, όπως ανωμαλία του κρανιοπροσωπικού σκελετού, αλλοιώσεις στις αρθρώσεις άνω και κάτω άκρων, κωνική υπερώα και πρόπτωση βολβών.

Η ψυχοκινητική ανάπτυξη και οι νοητικές της λειτουργίες υπολείπονται σημαντικά της χρονολογικής της ηλικίας. Παράλληλα, ο λόγος της δεν έχει αναπτυχθεί στον απαιτούμενο επικοινωνιακό βαθμό, η ρύθμιση της βλεμματικής της επαφής είναι σχετικά χαμηλή και η κινητικότητά της ιδιαίτερα αυξημένη. Το γνωστικό της δυναμικό δεν κατέστη δυνατό να ελεγχθεί από τη διεπιστημονική επιτροπή του ΚΕΔΔΥ (ειδική παιδαγωγός, ψυχολόγος, κοινωνική λειτουργός), λόγω αδυναμίας συνεργασίας της σε δραστηριότητες και δοκιμασίες.

Από την κλινική της παρατήρηση, το κοινωνικό της ιστορικό και το ενημερωτικό σημείωμα του θεραπευτικού της πλαισίου προκύπτουν τα ακόλουθα:

Στον προφορικό λόγο, μέσω συνεδριών λογοθεραπείας, εκπαιδεύεται στην παραγωγή προτάσεων με δύο λέξεις (π.χ. θέλω νερό) και στην ανάπτυξη της πρώιμης αντιληπτικής ικανότητας. Επιπλέον, ενισχύεται η ενδυνάμωση των αρθρωτών, η μείωση της σιελόρροιας και η εκμάθηση της σωστής λειτουργίας μάσησης και κατάποσης. Κατά τη διάρκεια της αξιολόγησης από τη διεπιστημονική επιτροπή του ΚΕΔΔΥ, η Ι. έδειξε ικανότητα φώνησης μέσα από την εκφορά μεμονωμένων δισύλλαβων λέξεων (π.χ. μπαμπά, μαμά, γάτα). Στον τομέα της κατανόησης, κατανοεί και εκτελεί απλές και σαφείς εντολές που δέχεται. Εστιάζει, παρατηρεί, επεξεργάζεται και χειρίζεται για κάποιο χρονικό διάστημα πρόσωπα και αντικείμενα. Η κοινωνική της αλληλεπίδραση φαίνεται σχετικά ικανοποιητική και αφορά άτομα του άμεσου κοινωνικού περιβάλλοντός της και κυρίως ενήλικες.

Στο γνωστικό τομέα αναφέρεται από το περιβάλλον της ότι η Ι. εκπαιδεύεται σε βασικές γνωστικές και αντιληπτικές δεξιότητες. Ωστόσο, η προσοχή και η μνήμη της χαρακτηρίζονται υπολειπόμενες, με αποτέλεσμα να μην έχει ακόμη αυτοματοποιήσει βασικές γνωστικές έννοιες.

Στον ψυχοκινητικό τομέα και κυρίως στην αδρή κινητικότητα, αν και η μετακίνησή της είναι ανεξάρτητη, δεν έχουν ακόμη αναπτυχθεί ικανοποιητικά όλα τα κινητικά ορόσημα που αντιστοιχούν στην ηλικία της. Δυσκολεύεται ιδιαίτερα σε δραστηριότητες που απαιτούν αμφίπλευρο συντονισμό των κινήσεων, κινητική ακρίβεια και εναλλαγές στην κίνηση. Στις λεπτές και επιδέξιες κινήσεις φαίνεται να έχει εδραιώσει πλευρίωση με επικρατέστερο το αριστερό χέρι, αν και κάποιες φορές χρησιμοποιεί και το δεξί. Η σύλληψη του μαρκαδόρου είναι τριποδική, σχετικά ικανοποιητική. Το ελεύθερο ιχνογράφημά της περιορίζεται στο σχεδιασμό αυθόρμητου κυκλικού σχήματος, οριζόντιας και κάθετης γραμμής.

Όσον αφορά τη λειτουργικότητά της στις δεξιότητες καθημερινής διαβίωσης, η Ι. δεν έχει πλήρη αυτονομία στους βασικούς τομείς αυτοεξυπηρέτησης (σίτιση, ένδυση, καθημερινή αγωγή) ενώ έχει εκπαιδευτεί στην αγωγή τουαλέτας.

Συμπερασματικά, η Ι. είναι ένα ευχάριστο παιδί που δεν ξέρει να διαφοροποιεί και να εκφράζει τα συναισθήματά του σε ικανοποιητικό βαθμό, οριοθετείται σχετικά δύσκολα και έχει υιοθετήσει χειριστικά πρότυπα συμπεριφοράς. Το οικογενειακό της περιβάλλον είναι πολύ υποστηρικτικό και καταβάλλει κάθε δυνατή προσπάθεια, ώστε να της παρέχει όλες τις απαραίτητες προϋποθέσεις για την καλύτερη μελλοντική της εξέλιξη».

Αξιολόγηση εκπαιδευτικών

Αρχικά οι δυνατότητες και αδυναμίες της μαθήτριας αξιολογήθηκαν με βάση τους άξονες του εγχειριδίου «Δραστηριότητες Μαθησιακής Ετοιμότητας» (Μελλάς, 2000).

Κοινωνική συναισθηματική ανάπτυξη

Η αρχική εικόνα της Ι. είναι αυτή ενός χαρούμενου και ευδιάθετου παιδιού, που απολαμβάνει να βρίσκεται κοντά σε άλλα πρόσωπα. Είναι αρκετά κοινωνική και επιδιώκει την αλληλεπίδραση,  κυρίως με ενήλικες αλλά και με άλλα παιδιά. Ο τρόπος που προσεγγίζει τους άλλους αρκετές φορές είναι ακατάλληλος (σπρωξίματα και χτυπήματα).

Ως βασικό κριτήριο εκτίμησης της κοινωνικο-συναισθηματικής ανάπτυξής της χρησιμοποιήθηκε η ποιότητα αλληλεπίδρασής της με άλλα παιδιά αλλά και ο βαθμός εμπλοκής της στα πλαίσια παιχνιδιού (Vasta, Haith & Miller, 1999; Russ, 2004). Σε καταστάσεις παιχνιδιού η Ι. είναι δυνατό να εκδηλώσει τις ακόλουθες συμπεριφορές:

-παίρνει το ρόλο της παρατηρήτριας

-εάν στο διαδραματιζόμενο παιχνίδι συμμετέχει ενήλικο άτομο μαζί με άλλο παιδί η Ι. προσπαθεί να τραβήξει την προσοχή, συνήθως διακόπτοντας τη διαδικασία του παιχνιδιού και απαιτώντας ενασχόληση αποκλειστικά με την ίδια

-συνήθως επιδιώκει αλληλεπίδραση με άλλα παιδιά

Κατά τη διάρκεια του κολατσιού ή του ντυσίματος – ξεντυσίματος των παιδιών, η Ι. δείχνει πρόθυμη να βοηθήσει τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά.

Στο διάλειμμα αναλαμβάνει πρωτοβουλία και παίρνοντας από το χέρι τα άλλα παιδιά τα οδηγεί στη διενέργεια ομαδικού παιχνιδιού (συνήθως σε δημιουργία κύκλου).

Η Ι. δέχεται με σχετική ευκολία τη ρουτίνα του σχολικού προγράμματος. Ενδιαφέρεται για το παιδαγωγικό υλικό και συνεργάζεται σε δραστηριότητες. Εμπλέκεται αυθόρμητα σε δραστηριότητες παιχνιδιού.

Η αντίδρασή της σε τιμωρία ή στέρηση κάποιου προνομίου είναι συνήθως βίαιη (φωνάζει, κλαίει έντονα ή προσπαθεί να χτυπήσει).

Νοητική ανάπτυξη – ανάπτυξη λόγου

Η Ι. συγκεντρώνει την προσοχή της σχετικά εύκολα στο αντικείμενο ή τη δραστηριότητα ενασχόλησης που της αναθέτουν οι εκπαιδευτικοί, αλλά αποσπάται εξίσου εύκολα (διάρκεια συγκέντρωσης προσοχής πέντε-επτά λεπτά). Το γεγονός αυτό επιδεινώνεται και από το περιβάλλον του νηπιαγωγείου. Συγκεκριμένα, η Ι. είναι το πιο λειτουργικό ανάμεσα σε άλλα έξι παιδιά (δύο με αυτισμό, τρία με σύνδρομα και ένα με μέτρια νοητική υστέρηση) και καλείται να λειτουργήσει μέσα σε μία αίθουσα χωρίς χωρίσματα και χωρίς εφεδρικό χώρο στον οποίο θα μπορούσαν να μεταφερθούν οι εξατομικευμένες δραστηριότητες.

Το αυθόρμητο παιχνίδι της Ι. χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως μέσο εκτίμησης των γνωστικών της ικανοτήτων (Vasta, Haith & Miller, 1999; Russ, 2004). Το παιχνίδι της είναι αρκετά αναπτυγμένο. Χειρίζεται αυθόρμητα αντικείμενα και εμπλέκεται σε λειτουργικό παιχνίδι με τη χρήση αντικειμένων και του σώματός της. Επίσης εμπλέκεται σε κατασκευαστικό παιχνίδι. Επιπλέον είναι σε θέση να ξεκινήσει και να συνεχίσει μόνη της συμβολικό παιχνίδι. Η ενασχόλησή της με ένα συγκεκριμένο παιχνίδι ή δραστηριότητα διαρκεί γύρω στα πέντε-επτά λεπτά. Η συγκέντρωσή της είναι εμφανώς μεγαλύτερη όταν πρόκειται για την παρακολούθηση dvd με παιδικά τραγούδια ή κινούμενα σχέδια

Η αλληλεπίδρασή της με τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά και τις εκπαιδευτικούς, σε κοινωνικό επίπεδο, θα μπορούσε να χαρακτηριστεί πολύ καλή. Η μαθήτρια αναζητά συνεχώς αγκαλιά και σωματική επαφή. Δείχνει πολύ ικανοποιημένη στην επιβράβευση, ενώ συχνά αντιδρά με άσχημο τρόπο (φωνές, κλάματα) στην τιμωρία.

Στο γνωστικό τομέα η Ι. ομαδοποιεί, σειροθετεί και αντιστοιχίζει αντικείμενα ανά χρώμα-μέγεθος.

Ο προφορικός της λόγος παρουσιάζει αρκετές δυσκολίες. Αποτελείται από μεμονωμένες λέξεις και κάποιες φορές σχηματίζει απλές προτάσεις με δύο λέξεις. Το λεξιλόγιό της αποτελείται από ήδη κατακτημένες εννοιολογικά λέξεις και από νέες λέξεις τις οποίες επαναλαμβάνει ακούγοντάς τες. Συνήθως χρησιμοποιεί το μονολεκτικό λόγο. Κατανοεί απλές εντολές, απαντά σε ερωτήσεις σχετικές με θέματα που την ενδιαφέρουν. Η άρθρωσή της δεν είναι καλή και το γεγονός αυτό συχνά καθιστά το λόγο της ιδιαίτερα δυσνόητο. Η επικοινωνία μεταξύ αυτής και των υπόλοιπων παιδιών καθώς και των δύο εκπαιδευτικών της τάξης είναι αρκετά ικανοποιητική (λόγω της ταυτόχρονης με το λόγο χρήσης και εκφράσεων-κινήσεων του σώματος). Φαίνεται πως κατανοεί πολύ περισσότερα από αυτά που μπορεί να εκφράσει και συχνά δίνει την εντύπωση ότι πιέζεται με την αδυναμία των υπολοίπων να την κατανοήσουν. Πολλές φορές αντί να χρησιμοποιεί λέξεις προτιμά να δείχνει ή να χειρονομεί προκειμένου να κάνει κατανοητό αυτό που θέλει να πει. Δείχνει σωστά όλα τα μέρη του σώματος και κατονομάζει τα περισσότερα από αυτά (σε αυτά που δε γνωρίζει την ονομασία τους επαναλαμβάνει τις εκπαιδευτικούς). Αναγνωρίζει και κατονομάζει (πάντα με δυσνόητο τρόπο) ένα μεγάλο αριθμό αντικειμένων και καταστάσεων που σχετίζονται με την καθημερινότητά της (αντικείμενα σχολείου, κουζίνας, μπάνιου, υπνοδωματίου).

Ψυχοκινητική ανάπτυξη

Η Ι. έχει πολύ καλή σωματογνωσία. Δείχνει τα μέλη του σώματός της τόσο στον εαυτό της όσο και σε κούκλα. Η κίνησή της στους χώρους του σχολείου γίνεται με άνεση. Είναι αρκετά ευκίνητη αλλά κάποιες φορές παρουσιάζει μικρή αστάθεια στο περπάτημά της. Παρουσιάζει αρκετή δυσκολία σε δραστηριότητες που απαιτούν αμφίπλευρο συντονισμό κινήσεων και ακρίβεια στην κίνηση. Ανεβοκατεβαίνει με σχετική ευκολία σκάλες και χοροπηδά. Εμπλέκεται με ευχαρίστηση σε δραστηριότητες που απαιτούν ή περιλαμβάνουν σωματική κίνηση. Όσον αφορά τη λεπτή κινητικότητα, η Ι. εκτελεί κινήσεις που έχουν νόημα γι’ αυτήν (ανοίγει συσκευασίες την ώρα του φαγητού). Η πλευρίωσή της φαίνεται να έχει εδραιωθεί στην αριστερή πλευρά. Συλλαμβάνει μαρκαδόρο ικανοποιητικά με τριποδική λαβή και κόβει με ψαλίδι, περνάει με ευκολία χάντρες σε κορδόνι, μανταλάκια και ενσφηνώματα. Κουμπώνει και ξεκουμπώνει μόνη της κουμπιά και φερμουάρ με σχετική άνεση. Το ελεύθερο ιχνογράφημά της αποτελείται από απλές γραμμές και κυκλικά σχήματα. Σε επίπεδο δοκιμασιών μίμησης, η Ι. μιμείται με επιτυχία συμπεριφορές ενηλίκων (κυρίως κινήσεις).

Αυτοεξυπηρέτηση

Η Ι. είναι αυτόνομη στη χρήση τουαλέτας, στην ένδυση και στη σίτιση (αρκετές φορές χρειάζεται παραίνεση για να τακτοποιήσει τα πράγματά της τελειώνοντας το φαγητό της). Πλένει τα χέρια της με ελάχιστη βοήθεια.

Παιδαγωγική παρέμβαση και αποτελέσματα

Βασιζόμενες στην αρχική αξιολόγηση, οι εκπαιδευτικοί προσδιόρισαν τους στόχους παρέμβασης, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τον Οδηγό Νηπιαγωγού (Δαφέρμου, κ.α., 2006), το Διαθεματικό Ενιαίο Πλαίσιο Προγραμμάτων Σπουδών Νηπιαγωγείου (ΥΠ.Ε.Π.Θ., 2003), τα Αναλυτικά Προγράμματα Σπουδών για Μαθητές με Ελαφρά και Μέτρια Νοητική Καθυστέρηση (Λαμπροπούλου, 2004α), και τα Αναλυτικά Προγράμματα Σπουδών για Μαθητές με Αυτισμό (Λαμπροπούλου, 2004β). Από την αρχή της σχολικής χρονιάς ετέθη σαν πρώτος και βασικός στόχος η οριοθέτηση της συμπεριφοράς της μαθήτριας στα πλαίσια ενός σταθερού ημερήσιου προγράμματος. Το πρώτο και βασικότερο ζήτημα που έπρεπε να ρυθμιστεί ήταν η μετάβαση και παραμονή της στα προβλεπόμενα σημεία κατά τις προβλεπόμενες στιγμές. Συγκεκριμένα επιδιώχθηκε:

·         να κάθεται σε συγκεκριμένο τραπέζι την ώρα του πρωινού (ο χώρος αυτός καθορίστηκε και οριοθετήθηκε από τις νηπιαγωγούς και «διδάχθηκε» σε όλα τα παιδιά από το ξεκίνημα του σχολικού έτους)

·         αντίστοιχα να κάθεται σε συγκεκριμένο τραπέζι την ώρα εργασίας

·         να μη στέκεται ή κάθεται μπροστά ή κοντά στο γραφείο των εκπαιδευτικών παρά μόνο όταν θέλει να ζητήσει κάτι

·         να μη στέκεται ή κάθεται δίπλα σε εκπαιδευτικό όταν εκείνη δουλεύει ή ασχολείται με κάποιο άλλο παιδί

·         να μη στέκεται μπροστά στην πόρτα όταν ένα άλλο παιδί έρχεται ή φεύγει

·         να μη μετακινεί τις καρέκλες προκειμένου να καθίσει σε σημεία που δεν προβλέπεται

·         να μη βγάζει και παίρνει μόνη της αντικείμενα ή παιδαγωγικό υλικό αν δε ζητήσει την άδεια ή αν αυτά δεν της δοθούν από τις εκπαιδευτικούς

Για το σκοπό αυτό, σε καθημερινή βάση, μία από τις δύο εκπαιδευτικούς αναλάμβανε τη λεκτική καθοδήγηση της Ι. σχετικά με τις δραστηριότητες που θα έπρεπε να γίνουν, από την ώρα άφιξης μέχρι την ώρα αποχώρησής από το σχολείο. Το πρόγραμμα δραστηριοτήτων της Ι. περιελάμβανε παιχνίδι στη γωνιά παιχνιδιού – οικοδομικού υλικού, δουλειά στο τραπέζι, παιχνίδι στον υπολογιστή, φαγητό στο τραπέζι, παιχνίδι στον εξωτερικό χώρο του σχολείου, χαλάρωση στο στρώμα και συνεδρίες με τη λογοθεραπεύτρια του σχολείου. Το παιδί δέχτηκε το πρόγραμμα με ενθουσιασμό και δε δυσκολεύτηκε καθόλου στην κατανόηση των λεκτικών οδηγιών που της δόθηκαν. Αρχικές δυσκολίες που εμφανίστηκαν (κυρίως ως προς την απόκτηση της συγκεκριμένης καθημερινής ρουτίνας) ξεπεράστηκαν σχετικά γρήγορα και η Ι. άρχισε να λειτουργεί αυτόνομα μέσα στην τάξη, δείχνοντας στις εκπαιδευτικούς ότι αντιλαμβάνεται και αποδέχεται ότι κάποια πράγματα θα διαδέχονται το ένα το άλλο, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσο επιθυμητά είναι για την ίδια.

Δεδομένου του γεγονότος ότι το παιχνίδι αποτελεί μία σημαντική ψυχοσυναισθηματική και κοινωνική ανάγκη του κάθε παιδιού, καθώς και ένα εξαιρετικό εργαλείο για την εκπαίδευσή του (Λαμπροπούλου, 2004β), αποφασίστηκε η πλήρης ένταξή του στο ατομικό εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα της Ι. Oι στρατηγικές που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ήταν (Stahmer et al., 2003; Boutot et al. 2005; Λαμπροπούλου, 2004β):

·         χρήση νέων υλικών πέραν των συνηθισμένων υλικών του νηπιαγωγείου (αλεύρι, σαπουνάδα, νερό, ζελέ, άμμος)

·         μίμηση προτύπου όπου οι εκπαιδευτικοί λειτουργούσαν ως πρότυπα

·         συμμετοχή των εκπαιδευτικών στην διαδικασία παιχνιδιού

·         σαφής λεκτική καθοδήγηση και συστηματική επιβράβευση  

Όσον αφορά το παιχνίδι σε σχέση με τη νοητική ανάπτυξη δεν ετέθησαν στόχοι, λόγω του γεγονότος ότι η μαθήτρια ήδη εμπλεκόταν με επιτυχία σε όλες τις μορφές παιχνιδιού.

Όσον αφορά το παιχνίδι σε σχέση με την κοινωνική ανάπτυξη ετέθησαν οι ακόλουθοι στόχοι:

·         οριοθέτηση συμπεριφοράς στο παράλληλο παιχνίδι και βελτίωση της ποιότητάς του,

·         οριοθέτηση συμπεριφοράς στο παιχνίδι αλληλεπίδρασης και βελτίωση της ποιότητάς του.

Σταδιακά παρατηρήθηκαν οι ακόλουθες αλλαγές στη συμπεριφορά της Ι. την ώρα του παιχνιδιού:

·         Η Ι. ξεκινά το πρόγραμμα της καθημερινής της σχολικής ρουτίνας όπως αυτό έχει καθοριστεί από τις εκπαιδευτικούς της τάξης. Κάθεται στη γωνιά παιχνιδιού - οικοδομικού υλικού και δέχεται με ευχαρίστηση την ώρα του παιχνιδιού. Μέσα από την επαφή με τα διάφορα υλικά εκδήλωσε σαφή προτίμηση σε συγκεκριμένες δραστηριότητες (νερό, αλεύρι, ζυμάρι, σαπουνάδα) τις οποίες άρχισε όχι μόνο να ξεκινά αυθόρμητα αλλά και να εμπλέκεται σε αυτές έως και 15 λεπτά.

·         Σε επίπεδο κατασκευαστικού παιχνιδιού, με τη συνεχή βοήθεια, ενίσχυση και ενθάρρυνση των εκπαιδευτικών συμμετέχει σε κατασκευή πύργου από τουβλάκια διαφόρων μεγεθών. Σύντομα, η κατασκευή πύργου γίνεται βασικό κομμάτι της σχολικής ρουτίνας.

Μετά από προγραμματισμένη εμπλοκή της Ι. σε δραστηριότητες ζωγραφικής (με δακτυλομπογιές, νερομπογιές, μαρκαδόρους) και κολάζ (χρωματιστά κομμάτια διαφόρων χαρτιών ή εικόνες αντικειμένων) αρχίζει να ζητά τα σχετικά υλικά κατά τη διάρκεια της ώρας του παιχνιδιού, προκειμένου να φτιάξει κάποιο έργο και να το τοποθετήσει στο συρτάρι της. 

·         Όσον αφορά το συμβολικό παιχνίδι η μαθήτρια καθοδηγήθηκε σε ενασχόληση με κουζινικά. Η επιλογή του συγκεκριμένου παιχνιδιού στηρίχθηκε στα ενδιαφέροντά της. Η Ι. φάνηκε να απολαμβάνει ιδιαίτερα παιχνίδι προσποίησης με κουζινικά (μαγείρεμα, σερβίρισμα και κατανάλωση ψεύτικου φαγητού). Πλέον, φτάνοντας στη μέση της σχολικής χρονιάς, η μαθήτρια αναζητά και ξεκινά από μόνη της αυτό το παιχνίδι.

Επιπλέον, καθοδηγήθηκε σε παιχνίδι με την κούκλα, κατά το οποίο την ετοίμαζε και την έβαζε για ύπνο, της έκανε μπάνιο, και την τάιζε. Στα πλαίσια προγραμματισμένων δραστηριοτήτων συμμετείχε στην κατασκευή μικρών σπιτιών και εν συνεχεία σε παιχνίδι κατά το οποίο τοποθετούσε τα κουκλάκια πότε μέσα στο σπίτι για να κοιμηθούνε και πότε έξω για να παίξουνε στην αυλή. Σταδιακά άρχισε να αναζητά και να ξεκινά το παιχνίδι αυτό μόνη της.

Όσον αφορά το κοινωνικό παιχνίδι της Ι., κατά τη διάρκεια του ημερήσιου προγράμματος οι εκπαιδευτικοί προσπαθούσαν να δημιουργούν καταστάσεις παράλληλου παιχνιδιού το οποίο να είναι όσο το δυνατό ασύμβατο με ανεπιθύμητες συμπεριφορές. Έτσι λοιπόν, μέσα από λιγότερο ή περισσότερο οργανωμένες καταστάσεις, δίνονταν στα παιδιά παρόμοια υλικά, ενθαρρύνονταν και καθοδηγούνταν να παίζουν το καθένα με τα δικά του. Παρομοίως οργανώνονταν απλές δραστηριότητες που περιελάμβαναν κίνηση ή χαλάρωση στις οποίες τα παιδιά καλούνταν να συμμετέχουν ταυτόχρονα ή με τη σειρά. Πιο αναλυτικά:

·         Κατά τη διάρκεια του διαλείμματος η Ι. δέχεται και αποζητά παιχνίδι κατά το οποίο η εκπαιδευτικός κρατά με το ένα χέρι εκείνη και με το άλλο κάποιο άλλο παιδί και κινούνται στον εξωτερικό χώρο του σχολείου, πότε βαδίζοντας αργά (περπατώ) και πότε τρέχοντας (τρέχω).

·         Συμμετέχει με ευχαρίστηση σε οργανωμένες δραστηριότητες εντός του χώρου του γυμναστηρίου (κορίνες, σταφάνια, στεπ).

·         Συμμετέχει σε δραστηριότητα τραγουδιού με χρήση μουσικών οργάνων στη γωνιά μουσικής.

·         Συμμετέχει σε δραστηριότητα τραγουδιού με απλές κινήσεις.

·         Απολαμβάνει ιδιαίτερα παράλληλη δραστηριότητα χαλάρωσης στο χαλί κατά την οποία αυτή και κάποιο ακόμη παιδί ξαπλώνουν στο χαλί πότε στην πλάτη, πότε στην κοιλιά, στο ένα πλάι και στο άλλο πλάι και δέχονται ελαφρύ μασάζ από την εκπαιδευτικό.

Προχωρώντας η σχολική χρονιά παρατηρείται ότι μέσα από την εφαρμογή του καθημερινού προγράμματος και καθώς η αλληλεπίδραση της Ι. με το περιβάλλον του σχολείου (πρόσωπα και αντικείμενα) γίνεται όλο και πιο ποιοτική, η Ι. αρχίζει σταδιακά να αντιλαμβάνεται κάποιες χωροχρονικές έννοιες. Έτσι, φαίνεται να κατανοεί το «τώρα» και το «μετά» σε σχέση με καταστάσεις που την αφορούν («τώρα είναι ώρα φαγητού», «μετά θα έρθει ο μπαμπάς να σε πάρει»). Δείχνει να αντιλαμβάνεται τη διαφορά ανάμεσα σε πράγματα που συμβαίνουν «σήμερα» και πράγματα που θα συμβούν κάποια άλλη μέρα. Παρομοίως, φαίνεται να κατανοεί τις έννοιες «πάνω- κάτω» και  «μέσα- έξω» σε σχέση με καταστάσεις που έχουν νόημα για την ίδια.

Στα πλαίσια καθημερινών οργανωμένων δραστηριοτήτων αλλά και του καθημερινού παιχνιδιού δουλεύτηκαν πιο συστηματικά στόχοι στον τομέα της νοητικής ανάπτυξης. Συγκεκριμένα, η Ι. πραγματοποίησε μία σειρά δραστηριοτήτων που στόχευαν:

·         στην ενίσχυση της παρατηρητικότητάς της

·         στον εντοπισμό βασικών χαρακτηριστικών αντικειμένων (χρώμα, σχήμα, λειτουργία, χρησιμότητα) και στον εντοπισμό ομοιοτήτων και διαφορών μεταξύ αντικειμένων

·         στην ομαδοποίηση/ ταξινόμηση αντικειμένων σύμφωνα με ένα κριτήριο

·         στην αντιστοίχιση αντικειμένων

Μέχρι σήμερα η Ι. μπορεί να:

·         αναγνωρίζει και να διακρίνει οικεία αντικείμενα με βάση τη χρήση τους και το χώρο στον οποίο συναντώνται (π.χ. αντικείμενα του μπάνιου, ρούχα, φαγητά)

·         αναγνωρίζει και επισημαίνει με βοήθεια μιμητικών κινήσεων και καρτών τις χρήσεις οικείων αντικειμένων (π.χ. χτένα- χτένισμα μαλλιών).

·         αντιστοιχεί κάρτες στις οποίες απεικονίζεται η χρήση οικείων αντικειμένων με τα αντίστοιχα αντικείμενα (π.χ. πίνει νερό- ποτήρι).

·         ομαδοποιεί αντικείμενα με βάση λειτουργικά/χρηστικά κριτήρια (π.χ. φαγητά- ρούχα).

·         αναγνωρίζει τα χρώματα αντικειμένων (κόκκινο, πράσινο, μπλε, κίτρινο) ταυτίζοντάς τα με κάρτα ή αντικείμενο του αντίστοιχου χρώματος.

·         αναγνωρίζει απλά σχήματα (κύκλο, τετράγωνο, τρίγωνο) ταυτίζοντάς τα με σχήμα δείγμα

·         σχηματίζει με ευκολία  μία ή δύο ομάδες αντικειμένων με ένα κριτήριο  (χρώμα, σχήμα).

·         αντιστοιχεί αντικείμενα ένα προς ένα.

Στη σχολική γιορτή των Χριστουγέννων, η οποία έγινε από κοινού με τις άλλες 2 συστεγαζόμενες Σ.Μ.Ε.Α.Ε., η μαθήτρια έλαβε μέρος ανταποκρινόμενη στις ανάγκες του ρόλου της (βέβαια ο ρόλος της ήταν μικρής διάρκειας και σε καθαρά μουσικοκινητική βάση, χωρίς λεκτική παρέμβαση, αλλά παρόλα αυτά η Ι. κατόρθωσε να ανταπεξέλθει με πλήρη επιτυχία σε αυτόν).

Αξίζει επίσης να σημειωθεί ότι η μαθήτρια συμμετέχει σε δύο Προγράμματα E-twinning, τα οποία υλοποιούνται στο Νηπιαγωγείο. Το πρώτο έχει θέμα “Teaching Colors in a Multisensory Approach” («Διδάσκοντας τα Χρώματα με μία Πολυαισθητηριακή Προσέγγιση») και το δεύτερο “World of Childhood” («Ο κόσμος της Παιδικής Ηλικίας»). Η συμμετοχή της στα συγκεκριμένα Προγράμματα εμπλουτίζει τις εμπειρίες της Ι., της προσδίδει καινούριες γνώσεις, της δημιουργεί νέα συναισθήματα (χαρά και αυτοεπιβεβαίωση). Πέραν των «προσωπικών» οφελών όμως, η Ι. «προσφέρει» και στην υπόλοιπη ομάδα παιδιών, καθοδηγώντας και βοηθώντας τα να αλληλεπιδράσουν και να συνεργαστούν μεταξύ τους. Η παρουσία της είναι ιδιαίτερα ενισχυτική καθώς παρακινεί και επηρεάζει (ως θετικό παράδειγμα προς μίμηση) τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά.

Συμπεράσματα - Επίλογος

Η εικόνα που παρουσίαζε η μαθήτρια στην αρχή της χρονιάς ήταν αυτή ενός παιδιού που εκδήλωνε κάποιες προβληματικές συμπεριφορές στην αλληλεπίδρασή του τόσο με ενήλικες όσο και με παιδιά, προτιμούσε να ασχολείται μόνο με αντικείμενα και δραστηριότητες που είχαν ενδιαφέρον γι’ αυτήν και εκδήλωνε την οποιαδήποτε επιθυμία της με τρόπο μη συμβατό με τα πρότυπα της ομάδας (φωνές, κλάμα, χτύπημα ποδιών στο πάτωμα). Αυτό δυσχέραινε σε σημαντικό βαθμό την ορθή εκτίμηση του πραγματικού της δυναμικού.

Η εικόνα της μέχρι σήμερα (περίπου στα μέσα της σχολικής χρονιάς) διαφέρει ως προς τα παρακάτω σημεία:

·         συμμορφώνεται σε γενικές γραμμές στους  κανόνες της σχολικής ρουτίνας

·         οι βίαιες αντιδράσεις της μειώθηκαν ως προς τη συχνότητα

Παρόλα αυτά, 

·         στα πλαίσια της αυθόρμητης αλληλεπίδρασής της με τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά της τάξης, χωρίς εμπλοκή ενήλικα, εξακολουθούν να εκδηλώνονται ανεπιθύμητες συμπεριφορές

·         οι βίαιες αντιδράσεις της όταν δεν αποκτά αυτό που ζητά δεν εξαλείφθηκαν παρόλο που υπήρξαν σημαντικές αλλαγές στην έντασή τους

Η συμπεριφορά της Ι. στον τομέα του παιχνιδιού αποτελεί τη σημαντικότερη αλλαγή που παρατηρήθηκε μέχρι σήμερα. Σύμφωνα με τη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία, η χρήση του παιχνιδιού στην αξιολόγηση και παρέμβαση παιδιών με νοητική υστέρηση έχει προσελκύσει εδώ και αρκετές δεκαετίες το ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον (Hart et al., 1968; Koegel et al., 1974; Arntzen et al., 2003; Di Carlo & Reid, 2004; Sigafoos et al, 2009). Στο σημείο αυτό αξίζει να σημειωθεί η έλλειψη ερευνών σχετικά με το ρόλο που διαδραματίζει το παιχνίδι στο ελληνικό ειδικό νηπιαγωγείο.

Τέλος θα πρέπει να επισημανθεί ότι: δεν υπήρξε συστηματική καταγραφή των συμπεριφορών της μαθήτριας, δεν υπήρξε έλεγχος παραγόντων που θα μπορούσαν να επηρεάσουν τις αλλαγές της συμπεριφοράς της, ούτε έλεγχος παραγόντων που θα μπορούσαν να επηρεάσουν την εκτίμηση των αλλαγών αυτών. Συνεπώς η εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων σχετικά με το ρόλο της συγκεκριμένης παρέμβασης κρίνεται αδύνατη από τις εκπαιδευτικούς. Ουσιαστικά πρόκειται για μία απλή περιγραφή παιδαγωγικής δράσης. Η περιγραφή αυτή έχει ως μοναδικό στόχο την ανάδειξη θεμάτων που θα άξιζε να μελετηθούν με συστηματικότερο τρόπο. Με δεδομένο ότι υπάρχει κενό γνώσης γύρω από τον τρόπο με τον οποίο εφαρμόζονται οι παιδαγωγικές παρεμβάσεις μέσα στην τάξη, η συγκεκριμένη παρουσίαση θα μπορούσε να θεωρηθεί ως ένα παράδειγμα παρέμβασης διαθέσιμο προς περαιτέρω διερεύνηση.

Εισαγωγή στο SPSS

Εξοικείωση με το περιβάλλον εργασίας του SPSS , δημιουργία, αποθήκευση αρχείων και εκμάθηση της πορείας μιας στατιστικής ανάλυσης

Περιγραφική Στατιστική

Υπολογισμός των σημαντικότερων περιγραφικών μέτρων (π.χ. μέση τιμή, διασπορά, διάμεσος), πραγματοποίηση γραφημάτων, παρουσίαση αποτελεσμάτων. Έλεγχος κανονικότητας και επιλογή του κατάλληλου τεστ για την πραγματοποίηση αναλυτικής στατιστικής.

Αναλυτική στατιστική-Έλεγχος υποθέσεων

Σύγκριση δειγμάτων-πληθυσμών και μελέτη συσχετίσεως μεταξύ μεταβλητών. Παραμετρικές και μη παραμετρικές δοκιμασίες. Αξιολόγηση στατιστικών αποτελεσμάτων και εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων.

Εισαγωγή στην Παλινδρόμηση

Εισαγωγικά στοιχεία για την προσαρμογή γραμμικών μοντέλων σε δεδομένα με στόχο αφενός τη μοντελοποίηση και αφετέρου την πρόβλεψη.

Σκοπός του σεμιναρίου είναι η ουσιαστική συμμετοχή σε πραγματικό χρόνο των συμμετεχόντων του συνεδρίου. Για την επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου θα σταλούν πληροφορίες στους συμμετέχοντες πριν την πραγματοποίηση του σεμιναρίου για την πρόσβαση στη δοκιμαστική έκδοση του SPSS, που είναι δωρεάν για ένα χρονικό διάστημα, ένα πραγματικό αρχείο ασθενών καθώς και αναλυτικές πληροφορίες για το αρχείο αυτό, τον ερευνητικό σκοπό για τον οποίο συλλέχτηκαν τα δεδομένα, τις κλινικές μεταβλητές που αναλύονται καθώς και τους τελικούς σκοπούς της στατιστικής ανάλυσης (π.χ. η διερεύνηση της συσχέτισης αρτηριακής υπέρτασης και θνητότητας). Οι συμμετέχοντες έτσι θα έχουν στον υπολογιστή τους εγκατεστημένο το λογισμικό και θα είναι εξοικειωμένοι με το πρόγραμμα κατά την έναρξη του σεμιναρίου. Το σεμινάριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί σε ειδικά διαμορφωμένη αίθουσα με χώρο για την τοποθέτηση των ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών των συμμετεχόντων. Η παρακολούθηση του σεμιναρίου θα είναι χωρίς επιπλέον επιβάρυνση για τους εγγεγραμμένους στο συνέδριο.

Οι συμμετέχοντες με τη λήξη του σεμιναρίου θα είναι σε θέση να επεξεργάζονται στατιστικά δεδομένα και να πραγματοποιούν μία ολοκληρωμένη βασική στατιστική ανάλυση με τη χρήση του SPSS.
